Beautiful Skin in Winter

Winter is, by far, the worst time of the year for skin. I can handle the oily issues in the summer or even the occasional breakout! Many find during winter months their skin gets so dry that it itches non-stop. If that's you, you are in the ...right place so keep reading!

How to Keep Your Skin Looking & Feeling Awesome
During the Winter?

Moisturize like crazy. I’m not talking once-a-day lotion rubdowns, I’m talking “take out stock in the natural butter industry” moisturizing. Do it after you shower, in the middle of the day, and before you go to bed. Try our rich creamy body butter which can be used in your natural hair and on babies.

Drink a ton of water. Well, maybe not a literal ton, as that would kill you. Seriously, you can die from drinking too much water! Make sure you’re getting your recommended amount per day! Your skin cells need water to stay healthy, full and hydrates! Moisturizing from the inside out is the best defense when fighting dry skin!

Shower. Consider decreasing your showering time, or using cooler water. Simply cut back on the hot water, don’t spend more time in the shower than you have to, and maybe consider skipping a day when you’re not going out. Hot water feels great on dry, itchy skin…until you get out of the shower. Then it just makes things so much worse. You may turn red or experience uncontrollable itching!

Embrace the beauty of pale or lighter skin. It’s winter, no one expects you to have a golden brown tan! Skip the tanning salon. While I advocate skipping tanning entirely year round, if you have dry winter skin, you really don’t want to go tanning. It’s very drying to your skin, which makes sense, since you’re essentially baking yourself. If you
really must have tan skin in the winter, use a moisturizing fake tanning spray.

Exfoliate. Get rid of all those dry, flaky loose skin cells by exfoliating. There are many ways to do this, and I’ve tried most of them. Using a natural body scrub is the best way to keep your skin from cracking and looking dry. A good scrub will leave you soft with a great balance of moisture. The best benefit of using a natural scrub is that once you have used a scrub you are done...no extra lotion or body butter needed.  Great news right especially for the GUYS! They love that fact...and men have skin too. They need to scrub weekly just like the women. Try our body scrubs...they are absolutely phenomenal! If you don't think so we will give you your MONEY BACK!

Speaking of moisturize. I just tried the lemongrass body polish. I love it. It rubs on well and when you rinse it off, you have this beautiful finish on your body. I used it this morning and now it's almost 7 pm. I still feel the softness on my body.
